United Way of Johnson & Washington Counties and our partners are committed to ensuring that our region’s most vulnerable families have the support they need to weather the short- and long-term impacts of a community disaster.
Hosted by United Way in partnership with corporate, nonprofit and foundation entities, and individual donors like you, this fund will allow us to rapidly deploy resources offering emergency relief to families and individuals in need.
22 individuals were impacted by the Coralville apartment fire on April 9th. Through United Way’s leadership with the Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD), a stable system of support is in place for each person at this time. For more on the fire situation, you can see the story from KGAN.
